Summary of major releases and changes.

Benchmark result formats are not compatible between major versions (e.g. 7.x vs 8.x vs 9.x). When comparing results with others, use the same major version and similar settings. Newer versions add profiles (e.g. NVMe SSD, Real World), themes, and fixes; we recommend using the latest 9.x for best compatibility with Windows 10/11.

9.0.x

  • 9.0.2 [2026/02/17] – Updated language files.
  • 9.0.1 [2025/06/19] – Fixed bug that prevented proper benchmarking in some environments (compile options for DiskSpd 2.2).
  • 9.0.0 [2025/06/16] – New Shizuku and Aoi themes (TenmuShinryuusai, AnimalEars); updated core library (Project Priscilla); Flash Memory profile; default number of measurements set to 3; DiskSpd 2.2; code signature and copyright changes.

8.0.x

  • 8.0.6 [2024/11/20] – New Shizuku/Aoi themes (nijihashi_sola, AoiLight/AoiDark); updated Project Priscilla; Dark Mode menu support. Results compatible with 8.0.0.
  • 8.0.5 [2024/02/26] – Improved OS version detection; Aoi Edition added.
  • 8.0.4–8.0.4c – Language updates (Spanish, Czech, Galician, Nepali); silent uninstall improvements; digital signature for uninstaller; Save as Image fix; High Contrast and Windows 11 support; ComboBox fix on Windows 11.
  • 8.0.0 [2020/11/20] – UI library changed to Project Priscilla; new default benchmark settings (SEQ 1MiB Q8T1/Q1T1, RND 4KiB Q32T1/Q1T1; NVMe profile with 128KiB Q32T1, RND 4KiB Q32T16); Per-Monitor DPI v2; Windows 10 Dark Mode; direct input for Comment; transparent combo box.

7.0.x

  • 7.0.0 [2019/11/01] – Admin rights required for performance; font change; Mix (Read/Write) test; Peak/Real World/Demo profiles; random benchmark Q8T8 → Q32T16; sequential block size 128KiB → 1MiB; UI rebuilt (HTML → GDI). Shizuku Edition themes added in later 7.0.x updates. ARM64 support (ZIP). Installer does not support XP/2003.

6.0.x – 4.0.x

  • 6.0.0 – Random test Q8T8 for SSD; Shizuku themes (Karuta, Miko, WinterLamp); max 999999 MB/s.
  • 5.x – Queues/threads for NVMe random test; Network Drive support; language and compiler updates.
  • 4.0.0 – Benchmark core switched to Microsoft DiskSpd; queues and threads settings; result format not compatible with 3.x.

3.0.x – 1.x

  • 3.0.0 – Digital signature; zoom; test data selection (Random, 0Fill, 1Fill); NCQ test (Queue Depth 32).
  • 1.0.0 [2007/03/31] – Initial release.
